Thanks for checking us out - just to reassure you, we are not louts or hooligans, and we are definitely not idle. However, we are a lot of fun and we aim to make your experience at Hoons a great one and ensure you leave us looking and feeling great.
Hoons is situated in a quiet back street of Newquay, about a 5 minute walk from Great Western Beach and with parking nearby. We are part of a very friendly community and enjoy getting to know our customers. Hoons also prides itself by establishing and working proactively with local organizations such as Man Down and Purple Angels.

Can’t believe this little gem of a barbers has been on my doorstep for over a year and never knew how good it was! My boys and Hubbie love it!
Fantastic haircut and beard trim, took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and made it happen. Great conversation and a relaxed atmosphere made it even better.
We're no barber shop quartet
The original Hoonster - trained with the award winning Mike Taylor Education in January 2019. Bruce has featured in the pages of Modern Barber magazine and cut on stage at Salon International - launched Hoons in August 2019.
Lisa (Hoon Queen) was initially inspired to take up hairdressing by Caroline Davies of 'The March Hair' in 2015. Lisa went on to successfully achieve her NVQ Level 2, with distinction in hairdressing. She went on to attain her Level 3 in hairdressing, again with distinction, then qualified as a barber, successfully achieving her NVQ level 2 and also a Level 3 with distinction in hot towel shaves. Lisa is now a full time Educator in the Hairdressing Department at St Austell College, but we are lucky enough to call upon her as our guest barber
Monika joined Hoons early 2022 having qualified in NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing and barbering at Kutz Academy, St Austell. In addition to normal barbering services Monika also offers perms - please contact for a consultation
Charlie started as a part time barber at Hoons in November 2021, having run his own mobile barbering service prior to this. Charlie is an NVQ Level 3 qualified barber and is now full time at Hoons offering the full range of barbering services
